We collect your information solely to operate Tennis Network and provide you with team management services.

Your privacy is a fundamental right. We understand that your personal information—including your name, contact details, tennis ratings, and team preferences—is sensitive and belongs to you. We do not monetize your data in any form, and we do not permit third-party marketers or advertisers to access your personal information.

A. Personal Information

When you register or use our services, we may collect:

  • Identity Data: First and last name.
  • Contact Data: Email address and phone number (for verification and notifications).
  • Tennis Data: USTA rating, USTA team numbers, and playing preferences.
  • Financial Data: Venmo/PayPal handles (we do not store credit card numbers directly; payments are processed via third-party gateways).
  • Credentials: Encrypted USTA login credentials (optional, for syncing match/standings data).

B. Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use our services:

  • Device Identifiers: We collect device tokens (e.g., Firebase Cloud Messaging token) to send you push notifications regarding match schedules and team alerts.
  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and access times.

C. Mobile Permissions

Our Apps may request access to the following device permissions:

  • Location (Fine/Coarse): Used to help you find nearby tennis facilities, courts, or check weather conditions for matches. This data is collected only when the app is in use.
  • Notifications: Used to send alerts about upcoming matches, lineup assignments, and score reporting reminders.
  • Storage/Photos: Used if you choose to upload a profile picture or share photos in team chat.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our team management services.
  • Verify your identity via Email or SMS (One-Time Passcodes).
  • Communication: Send match availability requests, lineup confirmations, and score reminders via Email, SMS, or Push Notification.
  • USTA Integration: Sync team standings, match schedules, and player records from public USTA TennisLink data.
  • Payment Facilitation: Allow team captains to track payments (via PayPal/Venmo links).

SMS Consent: By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from us regarding your team activities (e.g., "Lineup Posted", "Match Reminder"). Message frequency varies based on team activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt-out by replying STOP.

5. Information Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes. We only share limited information with specific third-party service providers who are essential to operate Tennis Network. These partners are contractually bound to maintain your privacy and are prohibited from using your data for their own marketing purposes.

  • Google Services:
    • Firebase (FCM): Used for delivering push notifications to your device.
    • Google Maps: Used for rendering maps and location services.
    • reCAPTCHA Enterprise: Used to prevent spam and abuse.
  • Communication Providers: We use Twilio and Vonage to deliver SMS messages. We use SendGrid (or similar) for email delivery.
  • USTA (United States Tennis Association): Your match scores and player data may be cross-referenced with USTA TennisLink publicly available data.
  • Team Members: Your name, rating, and contact info are visible to your Captains and Co-Captains. Limited info is visible to teammates.
  • None of these services use your data for marketing, profiling, or commercial purposes beyond their specific functions for Tennis Network.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures including:

  • Encryption: Data is transmitted via HTTPS/TLS. USTA credentials stored for scraping are encrypted in our database.
  • Access Control: Strict role-based access (Admins, Captains, Players).
  • No Passwords: We use a secure, code-based login system (OTP) to eliminate the risk of password theft.

7. Your Rights and Data Deletion

In compliance with Play Store policies and privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Access & Correct: You can view and edit your personal profile directly in the "Profile" section of the app.
  • Opt-Out: You can manage your Notification Preferences (Email VS SMS) in the "Settings" tab.
  • Account Deletion: You may request the complete deletion of your account and associated data. To do so, please email [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will process this request within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is intended for adults (18+) participating in USTA Adult Leagues. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
